Interview

Gridiron Garrison’s Mid‑Season Surge: Did Isaiah Likely Carry the Load?

Jesse Y. defends a 3‑2 record and a 32.4‑point TE explosion while the rest of the league wonders if his squad can keep the momentum.

Alex Perrin: Jesse, you’re sitting at 3‑2 and riding a 32.4‑point performance from Isaiah Likely. Some say you’re lucky; others say you finally found a TE that actually scores. How do you explain that week?

Jesse Y.: Lucky? Please. Likely was a beast in Week 5, and I finally stopped treating my TE like a benchwarmer. He ate the defense, and the rest of my lineup just rode his coattails.

Alex Perrin: Yet you benched Justin Jefferson, who only managed 18.8 points. Was that a bold move or a reckless gamble?

Jesse Y.: Bold, absolutely. Jefferson was getting stale, and I needed a spark. The bench gave me a decent 11.0 from Shakir, but I’m not here to play it safe.

Alex Perrin: Your next matchup is against Dallas Cowsay, a 2‑3 team that barely scraped 124.4 ppg. Do you think Likely can repeat the 32‑point monster, or are you banking on a different miracle?

Jesse Y.: I’m banking on the fact that my whole roster is finally clicking. If Likely can’t duplicate that, I’ve got Christian Watson at 32.3 and Josh Allen at 31.5 to keep the pressure. Cowsay can’t touch us.
