Interview

Nick K. on the Angry Birds’ 13‑point Miracle and a 1‑4 Nightmare

The Angry Birds Expert’s manager defends a lone 13.2‑point week from RJ Harvey while his squad languishes at 1‑4, 594.3 points for and a two‑game losing streak.

Alex Perrin: Nick, your team is 1‑4 and sitting dead‑last at 594.3 points. How do you justify staying afloat when you’ve been outscored by 755.8 points against?

Nick K.: I’m not here to make excuses, I’m here to point out that we finally got a spark. RJ Harvey rolled in 13.2 points in Week 6 – the only real production on a roster that otherwise scored zero from our QB, Bryce Young, and the other RBs.

Alex Perrin: Still, 13.2 is a season‑low for a starter and you lost to Botnet Blitz 3.1‑13.2. Does that mean you’re happy with a bench‑warmer performance?

Nick K.: Happy? No. Proud? Absolutely. That 13.2 was the highest any of my starters posted all week, and it gave us a win‑by‑10 over a team that’s also floundering. It shows that when I slot a player who actually plays, we can compete.

Alex Perrin: Your other starters – Bryce Young, Chuba Hubbard, Braelon Allen – all posted zeros. Why keep them in the lineup when they’re costing you points?

Nick K.: Because I’m betting on upside. Bryce is a rookie with a high ceiling, and I’m waiting for his breakout. Meanwhile, I’m scrambling the waiver wire for a real workhorse. Until then, I’ll ride the lone bright spot and hope the rest of the squad catches up.
